Discovering Lake Como from the sky

If you want to try a different experience, you can dare a… SEAPLANE FLIGHT

A unique experience you can have on Lake Como is a seaplane flight. The lake seen from another, alternative and exciting perspective. In addition to having the opportunity to experience the different phases of flight and takeoff and landing maneuvers, of course always on the water, you can observe villas, headlands, bays, colors and atmospheres of the lake.

Como is a veritable temple for water flight, and in 1913, less than three years after the first flight of a seaplane, one of the first rallies in history took place with the “Grand Prix of the Lakes,” an international race won by Frenchman Roland Garros.

Among the historical places related to flying, Como is the only one where seaplane activity still regularly takes place today and is also home to a flight school. The operator is the Aero Club Como, founded in 1930, one of the most important seaplane flying organizations in Europe and the oldest in the world, as certified by Guinness World RecordsTM.
